It’s been a while since I last watched a few good short horror films. Time to see what’s new!
- Next Floor
A very interesting and different movie directed by Denis Villeneuve himself. In it we see a group of people who are frantically devouring all sorts of food. It leaves you with a lot of room for interpretation which I like and even though I really liked this movie a part of me still feels as if it was trying to be too “edgy”.
We meet Lynda, an upcoming model with very unique features. As she is about to debut, the nervousness starts and she begins to get odd visions. Another movie that needs a lot of interpretation but the most likely one is that Splendona shows us the struggle with trying to fit in and being an outcast.
- Corporate monster
I really don’t know where to start with this. At first I didn’t really like it but continued to watch it because Jenna Coleman was in it. It takes some heavy inspiration from the movie “They live” as we see a young man who is starting to see some people in different light, mainly he sees them as some sort of Cthulhu looking humanoid creatures and they are always the wealthy and powerful. Worried that they are sectretly pulling the strings and controling the world he tries to do something about it. But somehow I couldn’t stop watching and I guess whatever it was it worked and by the end I enjoyed it.
